The Government of India has launched a special initiative in the form of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz (Know India Quiz) to generate interest among youth, both NRI as well as PIO, to know and understand India.

 2. This Quiz being organized in 4 rounds, will be open for overseas Indian youth between age group of 18-35 years. There will be separate categories for NRIs and PIOs. The First round of the quiz will be held in Australia sometime in May-2018 (date to be announced shortly). The second round would be an online quiz conducted by Ministry of External affairs, New Delhi. The third and fourth rounds (Semi-final & Final round) will be conducted in New Delhi. Three winners from each of the NRI and PIO category in the first found conducted in here will move to the subsequent rounds. All participants who make it to the third and fourth round will be invited to India and besides the quiz, they would participate in 15 day tour of India. The top three winners of the final round will be honoured and receive special awards at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2019.

 3. As an initial exercise, interested persons in the age category of 18-35 can send on an immediate basis, to Consulate General of India Melbourne, their name, contact no, e-mail id, date of birth, category(PIO or NRI) and one scanned document confirming their age at cgo.melbourne@mea.gov.in, and cons6.melbourne@mea.gov.in
