On the occasion of World Fisheries Day, the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MOFAH&D), of the Government of India, is organizing the first edition of the Global Fisheries Conference 2023 (GFC-2023). This conference will be held between 21-22 November, 2023 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The GFC-2023 is an initiative being organised to accelerate growth in the fisheries sector through investment and larger engagement of varied stakeholders across the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector including government officials, policymakers, missions, ambassadors, academicians and researchers, scientists, experts, R&D, institutions, investors, manufacturers, export councils, associations and financial institutions. GFC-2023 is thus a significant stride towards realizing India’s Fisheries and Aquaculture vision by bringing stakeholders on one platform to explore mutual interests and opportunities.
