Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated in India in January every year to mark the contribution of overseas Indian community in the development of India.

The 13th PBD　will be held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat in January 2015.　Since the year 2015 marks the hundredth anniversary of the return of the greatest 'Pravasi' of all,　Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa, it is planned to celebrate PBD-2015 in a grand way.

A wide participation is expected in PBD-2015 from overseas Indian community spread across the world.　 The event will include meaningful and interactive sessions that address　issues of concern to the overseas Indian community.　 During the event, individuals of exceptional merit are honoured with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award to appreciate their role in India’s growth.
