India International Handwoven Fair (IIHF) from 11-13 March 2015

 
 

The next India International Handwoven Fair (IIHF) is scheduled to be held in Chennai from 11-13 March 2015. The Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India has been organising the Fair to identify sustainable marketing solutions for the stakeholders of handloom industry.

2. The handloom industry in India with its unmatched heritage has successfully evolved over years and gained a unique reputation in the world market. Products ranging from home textiles, made-ups, silk products, floor coverings, real Madras handkerchiefs, sarongs/kailies, woollen handlooms, jute handlooms, fashion accessories like scarves, stoles from various states of India would be displayed at the IIHF. Buyers would be able to source the entire spectrum of "Brand India" products at IIHF.

3. IIHF 2015 is expected to attract over 300 domestic manufacturers/exporters from all over India producing Handwoven products and close to 200 buyers from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Middle East and Africa.
