The 65^th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Consulate in the morning of 26^th January 2014. Consul General Ms Manika Jain hoisted the national flag and read out the address of the Hon’ble President of India to the nation delivered on the eve of Republic Day. Patriotic songs were sung in the Consulate and a film on the making of the Constitution titled “Tana Bana” was screened. The film emphasized the pivotal role played by the Indian constitution in ensuring economic growth of the less advantaged members of society despite differences in Indian society developed overtime in culture and politics. More than 150 persons attended the event.
