Curtain Raiser for International Day of Yoga
The Consulate General of India Melbourne organised a curtain raiser event for the International day of Yoga celebrations in Melbourne on 08 June 2015 in front of iconic building of the Parliament of Victoria from 7.00 am to 8.00 am. A number of Asanas were performed including Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). Around 100 enthusiast participants were present at the venue during the event at the crack of dawn in Melbourne’s peak winter. Media were also present on the occasion to cover the event.
